Pharmaceutical Advice

For photoprotection to be effective, remember to apply it in sufficient quantity, spread it evenly and reapply it every 2 hours, after bathing or sweating. In addition to the use of topical photoprotection, use complementary protection methods: accessories such as brimmed hats, sunglasses and appropriate clothing. Reinforce skin care with oral photoprotection (in the form of a food supplement) along with a balanced diet. Avoid exposure during the central hours of the day (between 12:00 and 16:00). Do not expose babies and young children to direct sunlight. Overexposure causes oxidative damage, leads to photoaging and promotes the appearance of skin diseases. Don't forget to apply aftersun to both your face and body so that your skin maintains the antioxidants and daily hydration it needs. Periodically check the appearance or changes in moles (shape, size or colour). If you take photosensitising medication or have a skin condition, it is especially important to follow these recommendations. In any case, if after sun exposure you develop blisters, fever or headache, consult your doctor.
