Composition

Fish oil (EPA 25% and DHA 35%), turmeric (Curcuma longa L.), soya lecithin, manganese gluconate, black pepper (Piper negrum L.), copper sulphate, loading agent (microcrystalline cellulose), anti-caking agent (magnesium stearate) and capsule (coating (gelatine) and colouring agents (titanium dioxide and yellow iron oxide).

Pharmaceutical Advice

Fish oil is a dietary source of omega-3 fatty acids, which protect the cardiovascular system with antioxidant properties. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) are the most important omega-3s.

Fish oil helps to maintain correct triglyceride blood levels and support normal cardiovascular function. Dietary supplements should have purity and quality indicators, especially in relation to heavy metal content. In some cases, ingestion may produce a fishy aftertaste, which can be minimised if the supplement is taken with food. If you are taking chronic medication, such as anticoagulants and antiplatelet drugs, you should consult a healthcare professional beforehand.
