Hydrocellular plaster of non-adhesive foam and silicone for chronic and acute wounds measuring 12.5 cm x 12.5 cm. Used as a primary or secondary dressing, it can be used alone or in combination with other healing products.
This dressing can be cut to shape and size according to the size of the wound, or at the discretion of the healthcare professional. The outer layer provides:
- An impermeable barrier: protects against viruses and bacteria and keeps the wound free from external contamination, thus reducing the risk of infection when the dressing is intact and there are no leaks.
- Evaporation of water vapor: allows the release of water vapor from the exudates absorbed by the dressing.
The polyurethane foam and the sodium carboxymethylcellulose fiber layer in the multilayer compress:
- Absorb large amounts of exudate: in addition, they sequester bacteria.
- CMC Na fiber layer: in contact with the wound bed creates a soft and cohesive gel that fully adapts to the wound bed, thus maintaining a moist environment conducive to the healing process.
This dressing also aids in the removal of necrotic tissue from the wound (autolytic cleaning) without damaging newly formed tissues.
