Accessibility information

In this document we explain how our e-commerce services available at promofarma.com and in its mobile apps can be used in an accessible way.

In this document, "Platform" means the website promofarma.com and the mobile apps.

Service description

General description of the service

On the Platform you can browse and buy non-prescription medicines directly from the Helena Abreu pharmacy, as well as beauty and personal care products from PromoFarma or from the Helena Abreu pharmacy.

Through the Platform you can search for products, view their features and prices, select the ones you wish to buy, manage your basket and place an order. You can also use your account features, access information of interest to you and reach the available customer service channels.

How the service works

To make a purchase, you can find products using the search bar or the available categories and view the information on their product pages. Once you have selected them, you can add them to your basket and review the products and quantities before continuing.

During checkout we ask for the details needed to process your order and show you the available delivery and payment options. Before completing the purchase, you can review the details of the transaction and confirm it.

You can find further information about how the service works, its providers and the rules of use in the Conditions of Use, as well as in the terms of sale applicable to your purchase.

Accessibility

Legal framework and technical references

The reference legal framework is Title I of Spanish Law 11/2023, together with any other applicable Spanish accessibility provisions.

WCAG 2.1 level AA and the EN 301 549 standard are technical references for assessing accessibility. Their mention in this document does not, on its own, constitute a certification of conformity.

Accessibility criteria

The aspects relevant to the accessibility of our digital services include:

  • Readability: adequate contrast and the ability to enlarge text without losing information or functionality.
  • Clear structure: understandable headings, a coherent reading order and identifiable navigation.
  • Keyboard use: access to all features without needing a mouse, with a visible focus.
  • Text alternatives: appropriate descriptions of images and graphic elements that convey information.
  • Screen reader compatibility: identification of content, controls and relevant changes.
  • Understandable forms: labels, instructions and error messages that make it possible to identify and fix problems.
  • Accessible purchase process: product search and selection, basket management, sign-in, payment and order confirmation.

Current status

The Platform largely meets the accessibility requirements. We work continuously to improve the accessibility of the Platform.

This is how we check accessibility:

  • A combination of automated tests and manual checks using a keyboard and a screen reader.
  • Regular reviews of key pages and journeys (product search, product detail pages, shopping basket, checkout, account, help/FAQ).
  • Test focus areas: contrast, focus management, alternative text, form labels, error messages, plain language and robust technology.
  • Periodic inspections.

Planned improvements

Continuous testing, team training and an expanded set of accessible design components.
