Description

It is a sourdough with dehydrated yeast to make breads and pizzas. With ingredients from organic farming. The sourdough or preferment used in bakery is to enhance the organoleptic qualities of bread. Sourdough improves the texture and flavour of bread due to the natural yeast and bacteria involved in its elaboration process and fermentation helps to have a high fibre content. Contains gluten. May contain traces of soy.

Composition

Dehydrated wheat flour*, dehydrated spelt sourdough*, brewer's yeast (4.9%), wheat gluten*, enzymes.

Pharmaceutical Advice

Brewer's yeast is one of the best-known nutritional supplements. It is obtained from cereal fermentation, such as barley. It tends to have a bitter aftertaste, so it is processed into de-bitterised yeast. It is available as a powder or in flakes, that can be added directly to food, or in tablet or capsule form.

It is very high in fibre and proteins of high biological value, especially rich in the amino acid lysine, and it contains glutathione, a tripeptide with antioxidant properties. It also contains B vitamins and several minerals, such as selenium, calcium, zinc and iron.

As a source of vitamins, minerals and amino acids, supplementation with brewer's yeast supports hair, skin and nail care. Minerals such as zinc and selenium support proper immune system function and fibre supports bowel movement.
