Melagyn Junior Infant Intimate Hygiene 200ml is an intimate hygiene gel for children that respects the delicate skin of children, especially in reddened and irritated skin. The rubbing of clothes and games can cause irritations that this intimate infantile gel contributes to alleviate, with a formulation that respects the characteristics of the infantile skin. Melagyn Junior Children's Intimate Hygiene is formulated with a natural extract based on Melaleuca alternifolia oil at 0.6% and pH of 5. In addition, the natural scent of eucalyptol gives it a natural deodorant effect.

Instructions for use

How to use Melagyn Junior Intimate Infant Hygiene?

  • Moisten the area to be washed with water, apply forming a soft lather and rinse thoroughly;
  • Apply twice a day in case of infectious processes, irritation or discomfort of the perineal and anal area of children;
  • One application a day for regular intimate hygiene.

Pharmaceutical Advice

pH is important when formulating body hygiene cosmetics. In the vaginal and vulvar area, a healthy pH range in women of childbearing age is remarkably acidic (between 3.8 and 4.5), thanks to the presence of lactic acid produced by the genus Lactobacillus bacteria. This acidic pH acts as a natural defence against other pathogenic bacteria and fungi growth. However, during the pre-pubescence stage, it is normal for the pH to be more neutral, i.e. higher. This is why it is recommended that, during infancy, the cleanser used for the external genital area should be specific and formulated with a compatible pH. This type of cleanser also provides comfort in case of mild vulvar irritation or discomfort.
