The enzyme glucose isomerase found in this Naturlider product converts fructose into glucose resorbable in the small intestine (dextrose). This non-animal enzyme is produced exclusively with the help of bacteria and is therefore of microbial origin. After consumption, the capsule dissolves in a few minutes in the stomach and releases the glucoselsomerase granules it contains. They then reach the small intestine. The isomerase converts fructose (fruit sugar) in the small intestine into glucose, which is absorbed by the body. As a result, fewer monosaccharides enter the colon, alleviating the symptoms of fructose malabsorption.
The product is indicated to prevent and alleviate the symptoms caused by fructose intolerance. These include abdominal pain, bloating and diarrhea.
