Alternativa3's dark chocolate is an organic product. It is made with Ecuadorian cocoa of the "criolla" variety. This type is less abundant than the "forastera" variety, although it has a better aroma and a less bitter taste. This dark chocolate contains 75% cocoa, but also cane sugar and vanilla to give it a very appealing taste and aroma.
All the ingredients used in its production come from fair trade, which implies a relationship between producers and consumers that is dignified, fair and supportive. In addition, the crops of these products are free of harmful chemicals. Even the paper used to wrap the chocolate is biodegradable.
