Contributes to the care, nourishment and sanitising of hair with dandruff

250 ml

Description

Douce Nature's organic palmarosa anti-dandruff shampoo, the formula contains natural ingredients selected for their gentleness and effectiveness against dandruff. The essential oils of Cymbopogon martinii and Melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) have a cleansing action on the scalp. They are associated with aloe vera juice which also participates in the elimination of dandruff. As it is applied, the hair regains all its luminosity. It results in a light foam that leaves the hair with a fresh and delicate fragrance. Finally, thanks to its gentle washing base and physiological pH, it is suitable for sensitive scalps.

Pharmaceutical Advice

Seborrhoeic dermatitis is a skin condition that usually affects the scalp. It can also affect other oily areas of the body such as the face, sides of the nose, eyebrows, ears, eyelids and chest.

Persistent scaling with itching or discomfort usually occurs. Its formation is related to excessive activity of the sebaceous glands and alteration of the skin microbiome (overgrowth of fungi of the genus Malassezia). It can be aggravated by the effect of some medications.

Certain factors can trigger the appearance of seborrhoeic dermatitis, so it is advisable to keep them at bay or take preventive measures: stress, extreme temperatures, oily skin or skin with underlying acne, excessive alcohol consumption or obesity.

To improve seborrhoeic dermatitis, it is recommended to use non-irritating face soaps and/or shampoos with specific ingredients to counteract the problem (sebum-regulating, soothing, keratolytic, antipruritic, plant extracts with antiseptic and antifungal properties, etc.). In the case of shampoos, I recommend alternating their use with another very gentle and balancing cleanser. In a facial routine, as well as a specific facial cleanser, complete the treatment with an emulsion that includes some of the ingredients described above, and oil-free sunscreen. I recommend avoiding soaps that are too astringent, as well as cosmetics with too much of an oily phase, so as not to increase the sebum in the skin.
