Description

They are traditional Andean seeds that provide multiple nutrients, high in iron and calcium.

They are very rich and complete foods that often replace meat or milk in isolated rural areas of Peru. They also have lots of vitamins and minerals: iron, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, B1, niacin.

The cañihua is of the same family as quinoa, but its seeds are much smaller and browner, its flavour is slightly chocolate. Amaranth is a cousin of quinoa has a very fine and aromatic flavour, its seeds are also very small.

It is a complete food that provides the body with the necessary nutrients and vitamins.
