Description

FortéDigest, from Forte Pharma, has been specially formulated to facilitate digestion. This tablet is effervescent with fast action and a naturally lemony taste. These tablets are formulated with characteristic plants for their specific virtues such as milk thistle, artichoke and beetroot. In addition, boldo completes the formula, helping the digestive comfort and contributing to the proper functioning of the liver. It also contains two enzymes: lactase and amylase. This food supplement has been developed to combine with a healthy, balanced and varied diet and, as such, should not replace at any time this healthy lifestyle. It is advisable to keep out of the reach of children and not to exceed the recommended daily dose. Not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Instructions for use

Take one effervescent tablet twice a day in a large glass of water.

Composition

Acidity regulators (citric acid, sodium bicarbonate), bulking agents (sorbitol, polyethylene glycol), corn starch, artichoke extract (Cynara Scolymus L.), natural lime flavouring, boldo extract (Peumus Boldus Molina), beetroot juice powder (Beta Vulgaris L.), lactase, milk thistle extract (Silybum Marianum L Gaertner), anti-caking agent (silicon dioxide [nano]), sweeteners (sucralose, steviol glycosides, sodium saccharinate).

Pharmaceutical Advice

Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) is a plant that contains silymarin, a mixture of several substances and is widely studied for digestive and liver care. It also provides flavonoids with an antioxidant effect and fatty acids such as linoleic, oleic and palmitic acids.

As a dietary supplement (in capsules, tablets or herbal teas) and/or combined with other plant extracts, it helps to stimulate bile production and has a protective effect on the liver, facilitating toxin elimination. It helps to improve heavy digestion or dyspepsia.

It has been used to prevent and support the treatment of liver damage caused by toxins such as alcohol or overeating, and as an aide to treatment with drugs that are metabolised in the liver. This should be advised by a healthcare professional.

Because of silymarin's anti-inflammatory power, milk thistle extract also has cosmetic applications: it is an antioxidant that helps soothe the skin and reduces redness.
