Immobilising splint for the hand designed by Orliman. There are models for left and right hand, designed with thermoplastic material. In addition, its inner side contains absorbent terry, which provides comfort and prevents sweating. With straps that allow for proper adjustment at wrist and forearm level, as well as a velvet safety pin for the thumb. Its function is to limit the mobility of the wrist, hand and fingers, keeping them with a small flexion with respect to the thumb.
It is recommended for treating injuries such as spastic and flaccid paralysis. It also helps to relieve pain and prevent deformities of rheumatic origin. It can be molded by an air gun to adapt it to the specific needs of each patient. This model, size 3, has a width of 8-9cm and a length of 38cm.
