The Orliman hand Immobilising splint is designed to immobilise the wrist completely. It maintains the fingers in extension with slight flexion of 10° and thumb abduction for the treatment of rhizarthrosis. The splint is indicated for wrist injuries, neurological injuries of central or peripheral origin (spastic and flaccid paralysis) or for prevention of deformities of rheumatic origin. Wearing the splint reduces pain and inflammation in the area, as well as carpal tunnel syndrome. The splint can be modified with a heat gun to adapt it perfectly to the anatomy of the patient's fingers. It is made of thermoplastic with absorbent terry lining for comfort and to prevent excessive sweating. A splint for the left hand is available in size 3.
