The Orliman antebrachial splint for the right hand is made of low intensity polyethylene. It consists of two pieces that are joined together by two straps that hold them together. The dorsal side runs from the hand to the metacarpophalangeal joint, while the other side runs from the wrist to the middle of the forearm.
Both sides are padded with polyethylene foam, which allows the skin to breathe and ensures patient comfort.
The straps are composed of velour straps and a micro-hook closure that provide a better hold without cutting off the blood circulation.
This orthosis is indicated for patients (men or women) with wrist problems, post-operative situations, forearm and wrist fractures. It immobilises the wrist and forearm. The splint is ideal for control and protection of the forearm.
