It is an ankle stabiliser that helps to neutralize the mobility of the foot when it has caused a sports injury or plantar fasciitis. It is made with two thermoplastic malleolar shells that promote immobility of the foot to assist with efficient recovery. It uses fixing or locking screws to adjust the support to the size of the foot. Likewise, it includes two pads in the back part to avoid rubbing that may cause discomfort to the skin.
Orliman has designed this special device for patients who have suffered a foot or ankle injury. It can also be used to prevent sports injuries. It is recommended for use in case of ankle sprains or fractures of the foot and ankle, under medical prescription. This stabiliser is indicated for the left foot, although you can find the version for the right.
