Contraindications The absolute contraindications for wearing compression tights are: • Obstructive arterial disease of the lower limbs (PAD) with systolic pressure index (SPI) < 0.6; • Advanced diabetic microangiopathy (for compression > 30 mmHg); • Phlegmasia cerulea dolens (painful blue phlebitis with arterial compression); • Septic thrombosis Regular re-evaluation of the benefit/risk ratio is necessary in case of: • PAD with SPI between 0.6 and 0.9; • Advanced peripheral neuropathy; • Weeping dermatitis or eczematous skin; • Intolerance to the fibres used (allergy to one of the components).
