Orange blossom water is especially appreciated in pastry and confectionery, as well as in beverages, pharmacy and medicine. It is traditionally used
for its exceptional aroma and its calming and soothing properties.
Soothing properties. It is ideal for dry, fragile and sensitive skin. Drôme provençale floral waters have aromatic and cosmetic properties. They are obtained by slow distillation, prolonged by steam distillation, of the flowers or leaves of plants, most of them organically grown. The flowers or leaves are introduced into the distiller or still. The essential oil-laden vapor is then condensed in a coil cooled by a stream of cold water. The water becomes floral when it is charged with essential oil microparticles and perfumed active ingredients. The distilled water and the essential oil are separated in the essencier by density difference. Thus, the distillation is carried out according to the rules of the art and the water remains highly charged with aromatic principles.
