Organic lentils

Description

Lentils are rich in slowly absorbed carbohydrates and fibre, they are a source of potassium, B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6 and folate) and minerals such as zinc and iron. The assimilation of the iron provided by lentils improves if they are combined with foods rich in vitamin C. They are a good source of protein, especially if combined with cereals such as rice. For its content in uric acid and purines should be consumed in moderation in people with arthritis, osteoarthritis, arteriosclerosis or gout. They contain very little fat and are very satiating.

Instructions for use

Wash the lentils and leave them to soak overnight. The next day cook with 3 measures of water for 1 measure of lentils for 1-2 hours.

Lack of iron can be restored through a varied diet. If this is not enough, it can be mitigated through supervised supplementation.
