Oily skin is characterised by excessive sebum production by the sebaceous glands, which are located close to the hair follicle and are responsible for producing this substance that provides the skin with protective lipids. The effects of the sun can cause greater skin dehydration and a rebound pro-oxidant effect, which will stimulate the activity of the sebaceous glands and, consequently, cause more obstructions.
