Box of 30 capsules in blister. - Vitreous is a gelatinous substance that represents 4/5 of the internal volume of the eye and contributes to maintain its tonicity. Its consistency and transparency are guaranteed by a composition containing 80% sodium hyaluronate. From the age of 50, or even earlier in myopic, cataract patients or after ocular trauma, the sodium hyaluronate in the vitreous has a natural tendency to progressively depolymerize and liquefy. The sodium hyaluronate changes its structure, disintegrates and clumps together in the form of precipitates. Vision may then be blurred by a perception of floating bodies or flying "flies" hovering in front of the eyes; these are called myodesopsias. Enzymatic degradation and oxidation are involved in this degeneration of the vitreous. Vitamin B6 helps to reduce fatigue and promotes normal functioning of the nervous system.
