Also known as ascorbic acid, vitamin C is an essential vitamin for the body. It contributes to the reduction of fatigue, to normal energy metabolism, to the normal functioning of the nervous and immune systems, to the normal formation of collagen, to protecting cells against oxidative stress, and to increasing iron absorption.
