Moisten the alum stone with water and apply gently to underarm skin. Wash and dry the stone after each application.

Sweating is a natural mechanism to regulate body temperature, a process that intensifies during physical activity or when feeling nervous. Sweat is made of water, mineral salts and waste substances which, when in contact with the skin microbiota bacteria, are degraded, resulting in an unpleasant odour.
