Thermoformable splint for wrist and thumb

Description

Thanks to its exclusive technique, it is a new range of removable thermoformable orthoses for wrist and hand pathologies (fractures, sprains, dislocations, etc.). Easy to remove, this technology avoids the wear and tear of plaster and resin. The wrist-thumb splint ensures strict immobilisation of the wrist and thumb. Thermoformable according to the patient's size and waterproof, this orthosis offers optimal protection. It is also remodelable, allowing it to adapt to changes in the patient's morphology during healing. It can be repositioned as needed. Its exclusive "boa" tightening system makes it adjustable. Waterproof, it is suitable for showering or bathing as well as for any aquatic activity, e.g. swimming pool. Radiolucent, this orthosis allows an X-ray and follow the evolution of a fracture without the need to remove it. Indicated for fractures of the base of the 1st metacarpal, sprains and dislocations. Supplied for the right hand.

Instructions for use

Correctly selected according to the sizing system and adjusted with the modular strap, an easy tightening system. The orthosis can be washed and then dried when necessary. Quick-drying is possible with a hairdryer. Heating time 5 minutes in a special oven which softens it slightly and facilitates its "moulding" on the patient's wrist. Must be thermoformed in an Exos oven.
