Description

Corn semolina, polenta or milho, are the different names for ground corn. It has a high nutritional value and is of great dietary interest. It is a basic element in the cuisine of many countries. It is obtained mainly from the grinding of corn grain, which has been previously decorticated and degerminated, passed through a calibration process. It is used in the preparation of porridges, purees and semi-cooked pastes, to cook basic food dishes or as an accompaniment.

Instructions for use

Cook one measure of polenta to four measures of water, stirring it so that it does not become lumpy, until it thickens. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes after the water boils. Serve with a tomato sauce or sautéed vegetables. Or simply with olive oil and grated cheese.
