1. After cleaning the wound, choose the appropriate size of dressing for it, ensuring that it sufficiently exceeds the edges of the wound.
2. ConvaMax™ superabsorbent adhesive dressing can be used both as a primary dressing and as a secondary dressing. When used as a primary dressing, ConvaMax™ superabsorbent adhesive dressing should be in close contact with the wound bed to ensure that the exudate is absorbed. The white contact layer should be in contact with the skin and the waterproof blue layer facing outward.
3. ConvaMax™ superabsorbent adhesive dressing is self-adhesive but may require additional support with:
- retention dressing
- medium to moderate compression tape
4. The frequency of dressing changes depends on the amount of exudate.
5. The removal of the dressing can be facilitated by moistening the dressing with saline solution.
6. Dispose of as care waste. If there has been contamination, follow the current local recommendations.
