It is mainly composed of linalool, which is an active ingredient traditionally used in scenttherapy for its regenerative properties. First of all, linalool would allow this rosewood oil to regenerate the skin. In fact, it could tighten the cutaneous tissues making it possible to firm the skin; ideal for care, especially for sensitive skin.
In perfumery, rosewood oil is obtained from the very fragrant wood and is straw yellow to coppery in colour, however, all parts of the tree can be distilled. In cabinetmaking, the name "rosewood" corresponds to trees widely used in the seventeenth century for marquetry, of the genus Dalbergia variabilis or Dalbergia frutescens. The term "rosewood" comes from English, which refers more broadly to the rosewood family composed of different varieties of Dalbergia.
