Description

Melanin is the biopolymer responsible for skin and hair colour and is produced by melanocytes, cells located at the base of the epidermis and in the hair follicle. Sometimes, this melanin accumulates in certain areas of the dermis, resulting in skin spots, which are usually darker than the rest of the skin. Ideally with a high protection factor, which helps to block the action of UVA-UVB rays on the skin. It is also especially advisable to avoid exposure to the sun during the central hours of the day and to use accessories such as sunglasses or hats to avoid the direct impact of the sun.
