• Wash your hands well with water and soap before starting, and take the tampon out of the wrapper. If it has an applicator, pull the inner tube without fully removing it.
• Choose a comfortable position and insert the tampon into the vagina, leaving the string outside.
• Push the tampon inside until the inner tube of the applicator is inside the outer one, or, if not using an applicator, use your fingers until it is well inserted.
• Remove the two tubes from the applicator, if you have one, and dispose of them in a trash can.
• Change the tampon after a maximum of 8 hours.

On the other hand, needing to change it before 4 hours of use may mean that you need a higher absorption level.
