MUSA ALIVIO is an easy to apply water-based moisturizing gel for the care of the intimate area. MUSA ALIVIO, specially formulated for the care of the vulvar area, comes in airless packaging, which prevents air from entering the container, helping to preserve the integrity of the gel for longer. It also protects the product against external contaminants and microorganisms. The skin of the vulva is thinner than that of other parts of the body and can be easily irritated. Occasionally, itching of the vulva may occur after contact with certain soaps or menstrual products such as pads.6 The vulva undergoes changes at different times of development such as puberty, menstruation or pregnancy, mostly caused by hormones such as estrogen and progesterone.7 Many women may occasionally experience transient episodes of vulvar pruritus, which can be mitigated by adequate hydration of the intimate area. The condition of pruritus becomes pathologic only when it occurs persistently, intensely, recurrently, or concomitantly with the presence of discharge or pain.
