St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum L) is a medicinal plant that can work as a support during emotional changes, as well as mild anxiety and sleep-related problems.

The benefits of St. John's wort come from its active substances such as hypericin. The synergy of this and other substances promotes better emotional balance. As a dietary supplement, in the form of herbal teas, capsules or liquid extracts, it can also help in situations of nervousness. It is important to note that it is not a medicine, it is a herbal supplement. If you feel like you have a persistent mental health issue, you must consult your doctor.

This type of supplement should not be combined with psychotropic or other long-term medication. Unless prescribed by a healthcare professional, it is not suitable for children and teenagers. It is not suitable during pregnancy and lactation. It may be photosensitising, so special caution and sunscreen should be applied during use. If in doubt, it is highly recommended to consult a healthcare professional.
