Any type of sexual intercourse, where fluids are exchanged, carries the risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases or STDs.

Oral sex is not exempt from this, so it is important to protect yourself, especially if the other person is not your regular sexual partner, you have more than one sexual partner, etc.

In the case of vaginal or anal oral sex, as well as for sex where there is contact between two vulvas, the appropriate method of protection is the dental dam or oral barrier. It is easy and comfortable to use and allows the use of lubricants.
