Dressing made with calcium alginate and hydrocolloid filler. It stands out because when it comes into contact with a lesion, alginate dressings exchange the calcium ions they contain for sodium ions from the lesion exudate. This allows the formation of a hydrophilic gel, which is responsible for the creation of a moist environment, optimal for the healing of lesions and based on the known principles of moist healing.
