The Medela Supplemental Nursing System is designed to provide supplemental feeding to babies during breastfeeding. Its intended use is to allow mothers to breastfeed in situations where they would not be able to do so. The SNS can be used to assist with sucking or to stimulate the mother's milk production. In any case, the SNS helps maintain exclusive skin-to-skin contact between the mother and her baby.
