Facilitates the neutralisation of the venom of different insects

Description

The Therapik device produces localized heat that neutralises the venom of insect bites while relieving the pain, itching and swelling associated with them. The effectiveness of this heat treatment comes from the fact that most insect venom is heat labile, meaning that high temperatures neutralise its effects. The device works in less than a minute without causing pain or damaging surrounding tissue. It produces concentrated heat - 50°C to 60°C over a small area so that heat acts on the venom. It can counteract the venom of bees, hornets, wasps, mosquitoes, black flies, ants, jellyfish, fleas, ticks and can even relieve the itching associated with stinging nettle. However, it is not suitable for spider, snake or scorpion bites. The device is most effective on recent bites and stings, but can also relieve those from the previous day. It measures approx. 15cm and is powered by a 9V alkaline battery, not included.
