FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus 1 unit is a medical device designed for continuous measurement of glucose levels in the interstitial fluid under the skin. This sensor allows for constant measurements, both day and night, and transmits data in real time to the FreeStyle Libre 2 smartphone app.

Thanks to this technology, it is not necessary to perform multiple daily finger pricks to know glucose levels.

One of the standout features of this sensor is its water resistance, allowing for use while swimming or showering, providing comfort and versatility in daily use.

Indicated for children, young people, and adults with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes.

Instructions for use

  • The sensor should be worn on the back of the arm.

  • Sensor 1 sends automatic readings to your FreeStyle LibreLink app to visualize how food, activity, and medication impact your glucose levels.

  • The app/reader and the sensor are designed to replace blood glucose testing for diabetes self-management, including insulin dosing.

  • The system has software that generates reports on glucose data analysis.

  • It does not require user calibration. It performs quality checks every minute to provide reliable readings during the usage period.

  • If you start your FreeStyle Libre 2 or FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor with your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, you will not automatically receive glucose readings, even if you use the updated FreeStyle LibreLink app as a second device.

  • You will need to scan the sensor to get your glucose readings on both devices.

  • Glucose alarms will only be received on the device used to start the sensor.
