Aposan Povidone Iodine 10% 125 Ml is an antiseptic for disinfecting healthy skin. It is used for pre-surgical hand washing by medical and nursing staff and for disinfecting the patient's skin. Povidone iodine is the most commonly used of the iodophors (iodine carriers), which slowly release iodine. Less active than tincture of iodine, and somewhat slower acting, it has the advantages of staining the skin less and being less irritating (although it can also rarely cause hypersensitivity).
