Description

Sunflower seeds have great benefits. They contain essential amino acids such as tryptophan, minerals such as zinc and folic acid. Tryptophan stimulates the production of serotonin which is responsible for improving mood and helps control appetite. Zinc promotes male fertility. They are rich in folic acid, a type of B vitamin that prevents problems during pregnancy. They contain biotin, another B vitamin, which improves hair health. They have vitamin E, a lot of fiber and are a good antioxidant. They have a beneficial effect on stress, the cardiovascular system and bones. Intracma recommends a daily intake of 30g. They have a high caloric content, so it is not advisable to take them directly from the bag to control the amounts. It is also not advisable to take them with salt.

Pharmaceutical Advice

Zinc has great benefits for the immune system, hair and skin. It is a trace mineral, meaning that the body needs it but in small amounts.

It is an important supplement for DNA synthesis, cell growth, protein synthesis, healing of damaged tissues and supports a healthy immune system.

It also promotes keratin and collagen synthesis, so it helps to prevent premature hair aging and even protects hair pigmentation. It also helps to strengthen hair and nails.
Include it in your diet by eating meat, fish, seafood (especially oysters), nuts, whole grains, pulses and/or milk.

A varied and balanced diet is usually enough to maintain a good level of zinc; supplementation is only recommended in cases of deficiency.
