The Infrared Forehead Thermometer is the device designed to measure the temperature of the human body by detecting the infrared light and its emitted quantity.
It measures the core temperature of the body, corresponding to the vital organs. The temporal artery is connected to the heart through the carotid artery, which directly exits from the aorta, the main artery of the arterial system. It provides a constant blood flow. Therefore, changes in body temperature are reflected earlier in the forehead than in any other part of the body (oral, rectal, axillary).
