After a vaginal or caesarean birth, secretions known as lochia (a mixture of vaginal fluids made of blood and placental tissue that are secreted during the 4 to 6 weeks after birth) are produced. If the lochia is foul-smelling or causes fever or pain, it is important to see a gynaecologist.
These secretions vary day to day. Postpartum pads should also adapt to every specific moment's needs.
