· Wash your hands thoroughly with water and soap and remove the tampon from its packaging. If it has an applicator, pull the inner tube without removing it completely.

· Choose a comfortable position and insert the tampon into the vagina, leaving the string facing outwards.

· Push the tampon inwards until the inner tube of the applicator is inside the outer tube or do it with the help of your fingers until it is well inserted.

· Remove the two applicator tubes and throw them in a waste bin.

· Replace the tampon after a maximum of 8 hours.

Being able to use a tampon for 8 hours without needing to change it may be an indicator that the absorbency of the tampon is too high for your needs. On the other hand, needing to change it before 4 hours of use may mean that you need a higher absorption level.
