Description

Medicis® after shave gel is specially designed for the protection and care of acne-prone oily skin. It is a gel that helps to avoid the aggressive effects of shaving and soothes the tightness of the skin. In addition, its special formula with UVA/UVB filters has a protective effect that combats and prevents photo-aging.

The main active ingredients of Medicis® after shave gel are:

  • Its allantoin content has a strong astringent action that repairs and heals the skin.
  • Prolongs the hydration of the face by its formulation of polymethacrylate glycerin 3%.

Apply to shaved skin until completely absorbed.

Composition

Aqua (water), alcohol denat., methyl gluceth-20, glycerin, niacinamide, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, carbomer, parfum (fragrance), saccharide isomerate, glyceryl polyacrylate, allantoin, sodium hydroxide, citric acid, sodium citrate, sodium benzoate, lactic acid, Cl 19140 (yellow 5), Cl 42090 (blue 1).

Glycerin, also known as glycerol, is a viscous, colourless, odourless liquid that is an intermediate product of alcoholic fermentation and is a member of triglycerides. It is highly valued for its moisturising and emollient properties and is therefore widely used in cosmetics.

One of the best-known products with glycerine as a base component is soap. These soaps have a low pH and work as emollient agents on the skin, helping it to maintain and recover its natural moisture level. This is why they are perfect for sensitive or dry skin hygiene.

Glycerin is also present in moisturising creams with an anti-ageing effect, thanks to its ability to soften the skin and increase its elasticity. It has great soothing action, so it effectively reduces irritations, acne marks or small burns, helping accelerate healing. It is also present in shaving lotions, as it reduces friction, as well as in hair care cosmetics such as serums and masks.
