Description

The urinary catheterization set containing the essentials for hygienic toilet use: an antiseptic toilet, a catheter, instructions for use and a bag to ensure waste disposal. On the other hand, the catheter and the collection bag are not integrated in the set.

This set is designed to perform urinary catheterization at home and is intended primarily for nurses and/or nursing staff.

A urinary catheter is used to regularly and correctly empty the bladder when it can no longer empty itself due to multiple neurological or bladder pathologies, gynaecological pathologies or as a consequence of interventions. This process is used with the purpose of draining urine by introducing a catheter into the urethra up to the bladder, which allows emptying it and thus reducing the risk of urinary tract infections and preserving renal function.

This set will first allow the patient to be washed before moving on to the antiseptic phase (a bulwark against infection) and catheterisation.

This Mediset urinary catheter set is disposable and contains latex due to the presence of the gloves and allows to actively fight against nosocomial diseases.
