The main compound of Miclorbic's antiseptic products is Chlorhexidine Digluconate 2%, an antimicrobial agent for topical use, which disinfects healthy skin effectively, preventing bacterial colonization and reducing the risk of bloodstream infection, compared to other substances such as povidone. Chlorhexidine disinfects the skin immediately, in just 30 seconds, and has minimal systemic absorption, although it has a prolonged residual effect.
