New Nordic Activ' Foie 90comp is a dietary supplement that helps the liver function properly and promotes good digestion, particularly of fats.

Formulated with natural active plant-based ingredients soothes the liver and relieves the feeling of being overweight. Artichoke stimulates the liver and facilitates digestion, while turmeric helps prevent fat accumulation and facilitates digestion, and choline contributes to lipid (fat) metabolism.

Suitable during the festive season or when eating larger meals.

Instructions for use

  • Take 1 tablet a day with a meal.

Concentrated extracts: milk thistle fruit (Silybum marianum L.) titrated in silymarin, artichoke leaves (Cynara scolymus L.), turmeric roots (Curcuma longa L.); choline, bulking agents: microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, anti-caking agents: silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate; glazing agents: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.

Daily amount in 1 tablet: Milk thistle fruit extract (Silybum marianum L.) 250 mg of which silymarin 200 mg Artichoke leaf extract (Cynara scolymus 1.) 222 mg Turmeric root extract (Curcuma longa L.) 150 mg Black pepper fruit extract (Piper nigrum 1.) 10 mg Choline 82.5 mg

Pharmaceutical Advice

Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) is a plant that contains silymarin, a mixture of several substances and is widely studied for digestive and liver care. It also provides flavonoids with an antioxidant effect and fatty acids such as linoleic, oleic and palmitic acids.

As a dietary supplement (in capsules, tablets or herbal teas) and/or combined with other plant extracts, it helps to stimulate bile production and has a protective effect on the liver, facilitating toxin elimination. It helps to improve heavy digestion or dyspepsia.

It has been used to prevent and support the treatment of liver damage caused by toxins such as alcohol or overeating, and as an aide to treatment with drugs that are metabolised in the liver. This should be advised by a healthcare professional.

Because of silymarin's anti-inflammatory power, milk thistle extract also has cosmetic applications: it is an antioxidant that helps soothe the skin and reduces redness.
