The effectiveness of this product derives from complementing it with the dyes of the same line. It also has a light scent that allows perfuming the hair after its application. When mixing it, it is important to consider that you need 1 part of the dye and 2 parts of the activating lotion. So when the lotion comes in contact with the dye, it thickens it and turns it into a cream.
