Voshuiles' Rosehip Oil is a vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of the wild rose fruit, rosehip. Primarily used as an ingredient in blends for topical application, rosehip vegetable oil has a fluid appearance, ranging from light to pinkish.
Rosehips are the fruit of a wild bush, part of the rose family, with many properties. For example, its seed oil is used in cosmetic products. Its healing capacity is well known, especially to treat scars, post-op wounds and burns. It is highly regenerative and activates the fibroblasts that lead to collagen and elastin synthesis. Its astringent nature binds the broken edges of the epidermis to facilitate natural healing. It is antioxidant, nourishing and moisturising and protects against premature aging and helps to reduce wrinkles.
