The bunion corrector is an orthotic manufactured by Actius that corrects the bony protrusion that forms in the big toe joint. Bunions are caused by wearing tight footwear, arthritis or stress on the feet. Depending on the individual's condition, the orthopaedic specialist may advise the use of orthotics for bunion correction. It is also used for post-surgical treatment.

The internal terry cloth makes contact with the skin pleasant and comfortable. The moldable aluminum splint absorbs the pressure exerted on the foot and transfers it to the rest of the orthosis. It compresses the foot adequately to regulate the position of the first toe. Adapts to the morphology of the foot. Easy hook-and-loop closure.

Fit to the foot with velcro fasteners. For night use.
