Non-adhesive silicone and foam hydrocellular dressing for chronic and acute wounds with dimensions 12.5 cm x 12.5 cm. Used as a primary or secondary dressing. It can be used alone or in combination with other healing products and can be cut in shape and size depending on the size of the wound, or at the discretion of the healthcare professional. The outer layer provides an impermeable barrier that protects against viruses and bacteria and protects the wound from external contamination, thus reducing the risk of infection when the dressing is intact and not leaking.
The outer film allows evaporation of water vapor from exudates absorbed by the dressing. The polyurethane foam and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose fibre layer present in the multilayer pad absorbs large amounts of exudate and sequesters bacteria. The layer of CMC Na fibres in contact with the wound bed creates a soft, cohesive gel that conforms completely to the wound bed, thus maintaining a moist environment conducive to the healing process and aids in the removal of necrotic tissue from the wound (autolytic cleansing) without damaging the newly formed tissues.
