It is a dietary supplement for special medical purposes (DADFMS) formulated with sodium butyrate. It meets the nutritional needs of people with irritable bowel syndrome. Irritable bowel syndrome is the most common gastrointestinal disorder. It is a functional disease of the large intestine that generates a set of symptoms such as bloating, alternating diarrhea-constipation, cramping or fatigue.
