It is a superfood that comes from the roots of Lepidium Meyenii, a very resilient plant that grows at high altitudes (> 4,000 m) in the Peruvian Andes, in rocky soil and extreme weather conditions.
According to local tradition, maca was used by Inca warriors to stimulate their aggression in battle. Maca is also considered by the indigenous population to be an aphrodisiac that additionally improves fertility.
The pure Biotona maca powder, with a pleasant taste, is obtained from roots of maca that are organically grown and hand-harvested after 8 months of growth. Once dried, they are washed, selected, dehydrated, and ground into powder.
It contains no gluten. It contains no cholesterol. No additives, colorings, preservatives, flavors, fillers, or GMOs.
